The CIB accepts commendations from city residents who want to express their appreciation for a member of local law enforcement. Commendations can be given for an officer’s exceptional display of courtesy, community involvement, professionalism, heroics and assistance.

An officer with the North Miami Police Department since November 2013, Buissereth was presented with her commendation by CIB Chair Randy Grice.

“Officer Buissereth plays a vital role in fostering positive police-community relationships,” Grice said.

“Resident Jessica Noel noted her multifaceted roles as an officer, mother, friend and counselor.”

Noel’s daughter interacts with Buissereth through the City’s Police Athletic League (PAL) program, which pairs youth with law enforcement through activities, outreach and mentorship.
