Commissioner sponsors movie night at the park

MIAMI — Residents in Miami-Dade County will be treated to a free Disney live-action film, thanks to Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan of District 1. Parents can bring their neighbors and children to Ives Estates Park for a movie under the stars. Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged for those planning to attend the event on Friday, November 7, 2014, beginning at 7 p.m., at 20901 N.E. 16 Avenue, in Miami.

“My Movie Night events are gaining traction,” said Jordan. “It is the perfect way to unwind after a long week. This is one of the best events that I get to sponsor because it allows families to spend quality time together.”
