State Representative Bobby B. DuBose is hosting an event to honor several black women during a “2016 Walk through History.” The Monday, March 28 festivities are free and open to the public. A reception begins at 6 p.m. and the event kicks off at 7 p.m. at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 SW 5 Ave., in Ft. Lauderdale. Honorees include Florida Memorial University president, Roslyn Artis; Captain Tomeka Johnson, a pilot; Broward School Board chair, Rosalind Osgood and Florida Senate Minority Leader, Arthenia Joyner.
