Former Tuskegee Airman, retired USAF Lt. Colonel Leo Gray (sitting), and Wings Over Miami’s longest serving volunteer Harry Adams at Wings Over Miami. The flying aviation museum of historically significant aircraft, located at the Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport in Miami-Dade County, recently celebrated the Tuskegee Traveling Exhibit and the arrival of the Texas Raiders, a B-17 Flying Fortress. Last year, the Tuskegee Traveling Exhibit visited Wings sharing the Tuskegee story of America’s first African American war-time pilots with hundreds of children. This year, the exhibit returned to Wings and brought a B-17 bomber which completed the historic Tuskegee Airmen story.
