(Black PR Wire) – Jack and Jill of America, Inc. welcomed ten new chapters in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Illinois during September and October, increasing the organization’s total number of chapters nationally to 262. The Jack and Jill of America is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2-19, dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty.

Founded in 1938, the organization has a current membership of more than 12,000 mothers and is widely regarded as the largest and most prominent African American family organization, representing 40,000 family members nationwide including mothers, fathers, and children.

The new Southeastern Region affiliates include the Nature Coast and Southwest Florida chapters in Florida, as well as the Greater Lake Allatoona, Southern Crescent, Golden Isles and Valdosta chapters in Georgia.

Others include the Mid-Atlantic Region’s new Greater Chapel Hill Chapter in North Carolina, the Upper Palmetto and Aiken County chapters in South Carolina, and the Midwestern Region’s Monarch Cities Chapter in Illinois.
