DAVIE, Fla. – ChildNet celebrated the graduation of over 100 foster youth in Broward County with the 13th Annual Transitional Independent Living (TIL) Graduation Celebration on Thursday, June 15 at Broward College Central Campus’ Bailey Hall.

The annual event celebrates the youth who have been, or are part of, Broward County’s system of care. The students graduated with diplomas from middle school, high school and college, as well as from GED and professional certificate programs.

Keynote Speaker Sonny Burnette, former foster youth and current ChildNet staff member spoke at the graduation.

Stichiz, on-air personality for 103.5 The Beat, emceed the celebration.

Attendees included representatives from Children Services Council of Broward County, Broward College, Camelot Community Care, FLITE Center, Forever Families, The Gionti Family, 103.5 The Beat, Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services, HANDY, Jim Moran Foundation, Memorial Healthcare System, PACE Broward, SOS Children’s Village, Sun Serve, Urban League, 4 Kids South Florida, ChildNet and other child welfare stakeholders.
