Broward teacher featured at South by Southwest conference

AUSTIN, Tx. – A multiple award-winning storyteller and educator, Broward County Public Schools teacher, Nerissa Street redefines well-known themes to wow and empower her audience. She creates dynamic experiences for audiences of all ages, to equip them to take ownership of their personal growth and transcendence. Street signed copies of her new book, 31 Days of Yes at the annual South by Southwest Conference in Austin, Texas, on March 5.

Street is the CEO of Be Your Own Answer, a company that transforms creative professionals into thought leaders. She was honored as a 2017 Woman of Distinction by the Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce and her project, Girls Call the Shots, was a 2016 Knight Arts Challenge finalist.
