MIAMI GARDENS — Florida Sen. Shevrin Jones (SD-34) released the following statement regarding the Senate’s passage of legislation as part of the special session focused on addressing property insurance: 

"Floridians are understandably frustrated by the ongoing property insurance crisis as consumers are left holding the bag, time and time again. The insurance market is in freefall, and while this legislation is a step forward, Floridians will still have to wait up to another two years before they can expect their cases to be resolved. Simply put, the people of Florida cannot afford to wait that long. Homeowners deserve relief now."
