Last March, we announced highlights of the Comcast Xfinity HBCU experience for X1 customers and today, we are thrilled to share our latest additions since the HBCU destination launched two years ago on the Black Film & TV destination on Xfinity On Demand.

Here are just a few of the ways Comcast will continue to bring the HBCU story to television viewers through the award-winning Xfinity X1 platform this Fall: The HBCU VOD Experience will be enhanced with the following:

• *New* Xfinity original content – In October, there will be two new documentary style pieces about life at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. One will focus on Black Greek Organizations and the other will highlight thriving HBCU’s.

• *New* web content highlighting the nine Black Greek Letter Organizations. • Updated sports schedules and standings for HBCU sports teams.

• Updated network content in the VOD collection, “The HBCU Experience:” -Updated Student TV & Movie watchlists -Two new series from Aspire TV (‘No Huddle’ and ‘After the Game’)

-Popular syndicated series like ‘A Different World’, ‘College Hill’ and ‘The Quad.’ -New music playlists from Music Choice and more!

Rolling Out has partnered with Comcast on this initiative and will release a series of videos this week featuring Keshia Knight Pulliam (Spelman College Alum), Towanda Braxton (Bowie State University Alum) and Fonzworth Bentley (Morehouse College Alum). The celebrities play the “What’s Your HBCU IQ?” game and will be quizzed on their HBCU knowledge. The videos will release Monday (9/16), Wednesday (9/18) and Friday (9/20) of this week and are available to stream on The HBCU Experience Video-On-Demand platform.
