The world’s largest Christian poetry tour, Poets In Autumn, is returning to South Florida again this year, with stops in Miami and West Palm Beach on September 23 and 24, respectively.

Known for the way they passionately and creatively articulate ‘The Gospel of Jesus Christ,’ the tour has boasted soldout crowds featuring beloved Ezekial poets Azonwu, Jannette…IKZ, Preston Perry and wife, Jackie Hill-Perry.

This year, due to Jannette…IKZ taking time off because she is a new mother, poet Chris Webb will join Azonwu and The Perrys as their fourth member.

Presented by Kingdom Promotions in collaboration with South Florida-based Fuzion Promotions, the tour’s 2017 theme is “Heart Check” an all new show featuring a new production and new pieces from the poets.

South Florida’s own gospel powerhouse singer, songwriter and celebrity vocal coach Ashaala Shanae will lead worship during the show.

Clinton Powell, who is the president and founder of Fuzion Promotions, said last year, the Miami stop of the tour drew almost 1,000 attendees.

“It’s always great to partner with Kingdom Promotions and bring in this premier event that caters to people from different walks of life and not only highlights the art of spoken word, but also brings glory to Jesus. I’m looking forward to another sold out show because South Florida always shows love,” Powell said.

He said the show is full of quality ministry and encouragement.

“The show itself has great original pieces, creativity and a fusion of theatrical arts and drama,” Powell said. “Even if people have no type of relationship with Christ at the beginning of the show, by the end many recognize that there is a Savior in Jesus Christ and the message of hope comes at the right time at the right place. The words are uplifting and exactly what you need.”

In Miami, the tour will take place at Trinity Church, 17801 NW 2 Avenue. In West Palm Beach, it will be held at Wellington Community High School in the auditorium, 2101 Greenview Shores Blvd. in Wellington.

At both shows, doors open at 6 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 7 p.m. for general admission. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

Tickets range from $20 to $50 and groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $17 per person.
