MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) _ A new treatment facility in Medford is set to open its doors in September to help residents on their road to recovery from alcohol and drug addictions.

The Mail Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1DuCS3p ) that construction on the 2,000-square-foot Addictions Recovery Center is already underway.

The $325,000 cost to open the facility is being paid with grants from AllCare Health Plan Inc., Jackson Care Connect, Asante and Providence Medford Medical Center, as well as public and private donations.

The center’s director of clinical and behavioral health services, Dr. Darryl Inaba, says the treatment facility will mostly serve those with addictions to alcohol or narcotics, such as opiates or prescription painkillers. Once a patient is admitted, the staff will determine how long their treatment will last.
