BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) _ U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy, University of Vermont President Thomas Sullivan and other higher education officials are going to be talking about a multi-million dollar grant from the National Institutes of Health that will be used for biomedical research.

The details of the five-year grant are going to be announced Friday at the University of Vermont.

Officials say the grant will keep Vermont on the cutting edge of biomedical research.

Other institutions that will be working on the project are Saint Michael’s College, Lyndon State College, Castleton State College, Norwich University, Green Mountain College, Middlebury College, Johnson State College, the Community College of Vermont and Landmark College.
