CONCORD, N.H. (AP) _ Visits and spending are expected to set records for the July 4 holiday period this year in New Hampshire.

The Institute for New Hampshire Studies says more than 900,000 people are expected to visit the state from Friday through Monday. They are expected to spend more than $140 million.

Most visitors will travel to New Hampshire from New England and the Middle Atlantic States. Canadians are anticipated to be visiting the state at higher levels than last year.
