Fresh off of a one-sided Democratic primary victory, U.S. Senator Bill Nelson is scheduled to make a campaign stop in Miami, where he will tour the predominantly black Overtown community.
Nelson will be joined by Miami-Dade County school board member Dr. Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall and several community groups.
The tour is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday at URGENT, Inc.’s Center for Education and Empowerment, which is located at 1000 NW 1st Avenue.
