The Meyer Amphitheater, at 104 Datura St. along the Intracoastal waterway, featuring grassy lawns, picnic benches and tables, a walking path, bathrooms and a palm-tree lined knoll, is the venue.
Among the featured artists:
Baby Cham. The popular favorite born Damian Beckett and raised in Kingston, Jamaica.
Fab 5. The popular Jamaican band’s 19 albums include their multi-award winning soca album Yu Safe.
Sanchez. Born Kevin Anthony Jackson in Kingston, Jamaica the singer/performer who transforms his live-performance audiences into a mass choir epitomizes elegance and style with songs ranging from soulful R&B to hardcore dancehall and reggae.
Children in particular will enjoy the Kiddies Corner with attractions such as clowns, face painting, a bounce house, waterslides and rock-climbing.
With food, music, a dance contest, fashion show, giveaways and more, the 2012 Palm Beach Jerk and Caribbean Culture Festival promises to be an enjoyable, wholesome, family event with activities for all age groups.
