In her new role, Edmunds will be responsible for all care strategies and operations in support of more than 17 million video, data and phone customers in the 15 states that comprise the Central Division. She will be based at division headquarters in Atlanta.
Edmunds has more than 25 years of experience managing telecommunications. She has spent the last 15 years with Cox Communications as the vice president of Customer Care, regional senior vice president and general manager of Cox’s Kansas/Arkansas cable system, and, most recently, senior vice president of Customer Operations responsible for the end-to-end customer experience across all customer channels.
Before joining Cox, Edmunds worked for 10 years in a variety of customer service leadership roles with GTE Wireless (now Verizon Wireless).
A graduate of the University of Southern California, Edmunds has a bachelor’s degree in economics. She received the 2011 Wonder Woman Award from Multichannel News and won recognition as one of CableWorld’s Top Female Executives, as well as one of the Top Most Influential Minorities in Cable in 2011.
Edmunds is a former member of the board of directors of the Rainbows United, an organization focusing on special needs children from birth to kindergarten, and Big Brothers & Big Sisters, where she volunteered as a big sister.
