FORT LAUDERDALE –A Fort Lauderdale police officer has been taken into custody on drug delivery and possession charges.

Officer Kevin Gerard Pisano, 50, of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department was arrested by members of his own department early Saturday morning, just a block away from city hall.
He was on duty and in full uniform at the time of the alleged drug transaction.
He is presently being held in the Broward Main Jail on charges of armed delivery of oxycodone [Percocet], armed delivery of hydrocodone [Vicodin]. He is also facing one count of possession of hydrocodone [Vicodin], which was turned up during a search of his patrol vehicle.
He is being held without bond.
He is accused of obtaining prescription drugs for a woman. The woman turned out to be a confidential police informant.
