FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Florida Conference of Muslim Americans, students of the esteemed late Imam W.D. The Fort Myers session’s guest speakers included such heavyweights as Imam Dr. Nasir Ahmad, the noted leader of Miami’s historic Masjid Al-Islam, who address the topic, “Human Identity: The Sacred Roles of the Male and the Female.”
Others included Imam Abdul Aziz of Tampa, Imam Mikal Hamin of Miami, Imam Askia Muhammad Aquil of St. Petersburg, Aminah Hamidullah of Orlando, Dr. Ubaydah Ahmad of Miami, Imam Hatim Hamidullah of Orlando, Dr. Afrah Hamin of Miami, Dr. Patricia Salahuddin of Miami, Hud Williams, and FCMA Convener Wali Salahuddin of Miami.

The session followed the Tampa Bay Area Muslim Association’s 5th Annual Iftar Dinner Program, and precedes this weekend’s worldwide Eid al-Fitr observances celebrating the successful completion of Ramadan fasting.
