Forecasters warn that Tropical Storm Fay could bring hurricane-force winds to the Florida Keys as soon as Monday, adding that the storm could hit as a Category 1 or 2, with winds that could reach more than 100 mph.

Miami-Dade County officials told NBC 6 that residents should make sure their emergency preparedness kits are ready and to go over emergency plans, just in case.

It is too early to tell how intense the storm might become, forecasters told NBC 6.
