Miami, Fla. – Kelley Allen, a Miami-Based supervising casting director has been selected as one of South Florida’s Most Powerful and Influential Black Business Leaders for 2022 by the Legacy Miami business/news publication.

Allen and other honorees were celebrated during the 16th Annual Legacy Power Gala at The Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, Fla. on May 14.

"I am honored to receive this prestigious award from Legacy Miami,” said Allen. “It’s very gratifying to be recognized by your peers. Congratulations to the other distinguished winners. It was an amazing evening."

Allen, the self-made owner and CEO of Girl Gang Casting Collective, has cast reality, digital, and development projects for more than 15 years. She is highly respected among her peers as a goto to ensure film & TV projects secure the best and brightest talent.

The Los Angeles native was involved in the entertainment industry from as early as the age of 9 when she began working as a child background actor in movies like “Friday,” “Devil In a Blue Dress” and “Toys,” and TV shows such as “The Steve Harvey Show,” “Moesha” and “The Jamie Foxx Show.”

She ultimately landed behind the camera, casting projects such as the E! Network’s hit show “Botched,” Gordon Ramsay’s: “24 Hours to Hell & Back,” MTV’s “Are You The One,” OWN’s “Ready to Love,” Bravo’s “Married to Medicine,” HBO Max’s “The Sweet Life” and TLC’s “Extreme Sisters,” showing her range of casting experience.

Among her most recent projects are CW’s “March” and “The Ultimatum” on Netflix.

Kelley not only casts shows but also helps develop new show ideas. “I truly know how to connect with people from all walks of life,” says the Girl Gang CEO.

Even though she’s been doing her job for years, Allen said she is determined to bring what she does out of the shadows and help create even more opportunities for women with the creation of The Girl Gang Casting Collective as a brand.
