MIAMI — In preparation for the July 4 weekend, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson and Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado are issuing their annual warning against shooting guns into the air.
The two officials scheduled their “One Bullet Kills the Party” rally for 10 a.m. this Thursday, June 30.
The rally will take place at Charles Hadley Park, 1300 NW 50th St. in Miami.
Members of law enforcement agencies and the clergy are expected to attend.
A statement announcing the rally said according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, bullets shot into the air can climb two miles and then fall at a rate of 300 to 700 feet per second.
For more information, call Edmonson’s district office, 305-636-2331.
