FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The State Farm team presented Habitat for Humanity of Broward with a 2019 State Farm Good Neighbor Citizenship grant for $5,000 to pay for a portion of the construction materials to complete 20 homes in “A Rick Case Habitat Community” in Pompano Beach. The grant funds will pay for hurricane straps that will be installed to secure the roof trusses to the concrete block walls of the homes, providing protection for the families during hurricane season and to comply with code. State Farm agents, families and friends also are volunteering to help with the construction, working alongside low-income families as they build their future Habitat homes.
