The mission of The Alternative Programs, Inc. is to make a difference in the lives of every citizen by deterring them from crime and crime related interests.
TAP is a pathway for a low-income/indigent, non-violent, adult or juvenile offender to be released, supervised and provided with critical rehabilita-tion and empowerment skills that are crucial to reversing criminal activity, fostering positive contributions to society, reducing recidivism and reliev-ing the the criminal justice system’s jail overcrowding burdens.
TAP’s free services have helped tens of thousands receive the help they need to overcome the criminal justice system. The program reduces or acquits felony charges for individuals who complete it. Its founder and the program also have been able to rehabilitate juvenile offenders and help them go to college instead of becoming a repeat adult offender.
