An announcement from the board said access points have proven to be a vital resource for job-seekers and those hoping to improve their employment status.
Trained individuals at the access points assess the job-seekers’ needs and connect them to the nearest career center through computers and direct referrals for services such as online job searching and preparing a resume.
“By providing direct access to employment and training services directly in the neighborhoods, we attempt to revive the economic health of our communities,” said Rick Beasley, the board’s executive director.
