AIDA: The Knightingales choir of Archbishop Curley Notre Dame High School will present Sir Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. This contemporary musical is a modern adaptation of the classic tale of a timeless love between an enslaved Nubian princess and an Egyptian soldier. Relay for Life: The city of Hollywood is joining hundreds of communities across the country in preparing for the American Cancer Society’s 2011 Relay for Life. The local relay will take place March 25-26 at the Arts Park at Young Circle, Hollywood Boulevard and U.S. 1. Women’s International Film Festival: The Women’s International Film & Arts Festival will be held from Wednesday, March 30 through Sunday, April 3. A diverse selection of more than 50 films from more than 25 countries will be screened. In addition, the festival will offer workshops with Jo Marie Payton from the 1990’s sitcom Family Matters and Gregory Allen Howard, writer of Remember the Titans starring Denzel Washington, and Ali starring Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.
