FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nine-year-old Ketsia Jean is not letting a prosthetic leg slow her down. On Saturday, January 13, 2018, she will lead the 6th Annual 5K 4 Kids Race as captain for the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) team.

The Saint Anthony Knights of Columbus are hosting the family-friendly race to raise funds to benefit children with special needs from CDTC and provide scholarship opportunities for the Saint Anthony Foundation for Education (SAFE).

Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. and the race at 7:30 a.m. at the Saint Anthony Catholic Church and School, 901 NE 2 Street in Fort Lauderdale.

Jean has participated in the race for the past three years. She, along with more than 350 runners and walkers of all experience levels, are expected to go through Fort Lauderdale’s historic Victoria Park neighborhood.

The pre-registration fee for adults is $35 and $40 on the day-of. For students ages 17 and under, pre-registration at $30 and $35 on the day-of.
