TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) _ For all the talk about tea parties and fresh faces, only two of Florida's eight new U.S. House members can be considered "outsiders.''
The others elected Tuesday are veteran politicians starting with Republican Daniel Webster, a former Florida House speaker and Senate majority leader.
Republicans Sandy Adams, David Rivera and Dennis Ross and Democrat Frederica Wilson are current or former state lawmakers. Republican Richard Nugent is a sheriff.
Even outsiders Allen West and David Southerland, both Republicans, have been governmental insiders although not of the elective kind. West was an Army officer and Southerland headed a state panel that oversees the funeral industry.
