CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) _ Miami quarterback Jacory Harris has been diagnosed with a concussion and was doing fine on Sunday.
Hurricanes coach Randy Shannon also says no determination on Harris' status has been made for this weekend's game against Maryland. If Harris cannot play, freshman Stephen Morris will make his first start.
Harris was knocked out of Saturday's 24-19 loss at Virginia in the second quarter after getting sacked by John-Kevin Dolce. Harris remained on the ground for four minutes, was helped to the Miami sideline and did not return.
Morris replaced Harris for the second half, throwing for two touchdowns and running for another as the Hurricanes (5-3, 3-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) tried to erase a 24-0 deficit in the final 101/2 minutes.
