MIAMI – The community is invited to join renowned journalist Jim DeFede and author and community activist, Dr. Marvin Dunn, as they moderate a roundtable conversation where participants from all walks of life will share their views and opinions on topics like: youth violence, racial tension, police involved shootings, discrimination and other issues affecting the nation. The event will take place on Saturday, November 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Overtown Youth Center, 450 NW 14 Street in Miami.

The event was created to unify people of all races, cultures and ethnicities by providing a safe space where people from all backgrounds can come together and have a candid and respectful conversation. Youth, young adults, activists, community leaders, law enforcement, and the community at large are invited to spend the day interacting via fun and engaging activities, including a police officer vs. community youth basketball game.

Diversity workshops will be offered for youth ages 7 – 14 as well as concession stands, bounce houses, games and other fun activities.
