MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) _ A Martinsburg man accused of accosting a group of black women at a bake sale has been charged with committing a civil rights violation.
Mark Alan Gagnon also is charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication. He was being held Tuesday at the Eastern Regional Jail on $10,600 bond.
The Journal reports that Martinsburg police arrested the 57-year-old Gagnon on Saturday.
Gagnon is accused of approaching six black women who were having a bake sale and telling them he hated black people. Police say he swung his fist toward one woman and exposed himself.
