Free Public Event for Actors in Florida: The Screen Acting Guild Florida Branch presents “The Real Deal on Your Acting Reel,” its first free event to help you realize your dream of becoming an actor. The event will include breakfast networking and presentations about acting, what casting directors and agents are looking for and a panel discussion with local working actors who have crossed over to the Hollywood and New York markets. Miami Dolphins’ Ronnie Brown Fights Violence: These days Dolphins’ running back Ronnie Brown is blazing trails on more than just the football field. He’ll visit Deerfield Beach Middle School from 8-11 a.m. to talk to students about his “23 Ways to Stop Youth Violence” program. The visit will be the first in a series of initiatives developed as part of his new Ronnie Brown Project. The program is an anti-violence campaign aimed at middle and high school students designed to create a heightened awareness of the epidemic of violence and bullying today's young people are experiencing. Broward Milk Party Rally: The Children's Movement of Florida will host a rally from 7-8 p.m. at Bailey Concert Hall, Broward College Central Campus, 3501 Davie Rd. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. It will include appearances by movement leaders,  children's advocates and Miami Dolphins Mascot “TD,” performances by Hip Hop Kidz dance crew, Dillard High School Marching Band, Dillard  Performing Arts Jazz Combo, and St. Thomas Aquinas High School Jazz Ensemble. Rally goers will receive take home gifts and of course, milk and cookies. Free round trip bus transportation to the rally will leave at 5:45 p.m. from  Mount Olive Baptist Church, 400 NW 9th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.

The Domestic Violence Walk: Safespace Foundation will present its third annual Domestic Violence Awareness Walk and Expo at 9 a.m. at the Senator Gwen Margolis Amphitheatre, 16501 NE 16th Ave. The foundation has partnered with the Miami Heat and several sponsors for this event.
