TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) _ The White House has cited three Florida stimulus projects as part of a push back against critics of the $814 billion program.
Vice President Joe Biden released a report Friday outlining 100 innovative stimulus projects.
They include two road projects in Tampa and Ocala and a new small business in Jacksonville.
The report says Navy veteran Andy Harold saved $33,000 through waived fees on loans totaling $1.1 million to start his technology company that's hiring 10 people. A $105 million highway connecting Tampa's port and downtown is expected to employ 105 people.
The $3.2 million Ocala road in an industrial area is creating 24 construction jobs but is expected to attract new businesses that will employ 77.
