Miami-Dade Commission chairman Jean Monestime and fellow Chairman’s Council for Prosperity Initiatives members, Commissioner Barbara Jordan and Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava, will be on hand for the State of the South Florida Economy on May 25 at the Hyatt Regency Miami – 400 SE 2nd Avenue River Front South Room, Miami. They will be joined by government, business and academic leaders for the official roll-out of the Miami-Dade Prosperity Initiative.
The CitiBank funded study was prepared on behalf of the Chairman’s Council for Prosperity Initiatives — an effort to develop new approaches to improving economic opportunity, reducing income inequality, building wealth, business and home ownership opportunities to “broaden the County’s base of prosperity.”
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. and costs $30 per person; groups of two or more people cost $25 per person and students will be admitted for $20. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast will be served. Valet parking is available for $7.50. The event’s organizers encourage the use of public transportation.
