Breakthrough Miami is recruiting. The acclaimed program offers academically motivated fourth and fifth graders the opportunity to engage in a tuition free academic program that includes a six week academic enrichment summer institute as well as a comprehensive school year program that includes several “Breakthrough Saturdays.”

Students must have a minimum ‘B’ grade point average and at or above grade level performance on standardized tests.

Breakthrough Miami is also recruiting highly motivated high school juniors, seniors and college students to teach bright, ambitious and under-served elementary and middle school students from Miami-Dade County for the summer program. The teaching residency is a premiere pre-professional program and one of the most challenging internships of any kind available to high school and undergraduate students in the United States.

Applications for the teaching residency are due by Feb. 23. The internship begins June 11 and ends Aug. 5. For more information, contact Dwanita Fields at 786-302-9537 or 304-446-8209.
