BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) _ Baldwin County deputies have arrested a Chickasaw resident on charges that she burglarized five churches in Mobile, Baldwin and Escambia counties over the past two months.
Baldwin County Sheriff's Office spokesman Maj. Anthony Lowery says deputies searched the home of 41-year-old Wanda Faye Lacy and recovered more than 50 items believed stolen from the churches.
The Press-Register reports the items include artificial flowers and plants, tabletop fans and microphone stands.
Family members said Wednesday that Lacy is mentally handicapped. Lowery says investigators have charged Lacy so far with two counts of third-degree burglary.
