WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – The Rev. Jesse Jackson is taking part in a meeting about a variety of issues facing South Carolinians.
Jackson is helping to put on a daylong conference on Friday to discuss availability of health care, voter suppression and government contracts.
The meeting is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brookland Baptist Church in West Columbia.
Several South Carolina lawmakers are also planning to take part, as well as representatives from the Progressive Network and the Conference of Black Mayors.
