SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) — Dominican merengue star Juan Luis Guerra and Spanish singer Miguel Bose are among the artists performing at a Haiti-relief concert in the neighboring Dominican Republic.

Guerra organized the April 18 “Song of Hope for Haiti” concert at Santo Domingo's Olympic Stadium.
Guerra says proceeds from the concert will be used to construct a children's hospital in Haiti, which still is recovering from a devastating Jan. 12 quake.

Organizers expect the site of the hospital to be announced in another month.

Guerra is one of the artists who recently participated in a Spanish-language adaptation of “We Are the World” that Gloria Estefan penned to raise money for Haiti earthquake relief.

The Dominican Republic shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti.
