AKRON, Ohio (AP) _ Goodyear says northeast Ohioans may see one of its famous blimps flying in tandem with one of its new airships as it reorganizes its fleet this year.

Last year, Akron-based Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. finished the first of the semi-rigid airships that are replacing its blimps.

A Goodyear spokesman tells the Akron Beacon Journal (http://bit.ly/1Fr61XN ) the California-based Spirit of America blimp will be retired in August, and its gondola probably will be donated to a museum there.

The Spirit of Innovation blimp that had been based in Florida will then move to Carson, California. For now, though, it has joined the new Wingfoot One in northeast Ohio.

Meanwhile, Goodyear is continuing construction of its second semi-rigid airship, which is expected to take to the skies next spring.
