Happy New Year, Gantt Report readers! The struggle continues.
I apologize for the recent lack of columns, but I had the swine flu…the pigs made me sick! No, actually, I didn’t really have H1N1, but I did have a very bad cold for an extended period of time.
However, the show must go on.
Speaking of health, I applaud President Barack Obama and the elected officials who are seeking to overhaul the nation’s health care.
The very high costs of doctor visits, hospital stays and emergency room treatments are ridiculous, but only the poor really feel it.
The president is right to direct some of his attention toward health care, but the rednecks and conservatives are right, too. Americans, especially black Americans, must get jobs, be able to create jobs, and be able to sustain jobs.
America, and most of the world, operates by the Golden Rule: Those who have the gold, rule.
Almost no one is happy in America with the state of their employment, except the country’s top bankers.
Bank executives stole all of the money Americans had before, and they are stealing all of America’s future revenue by hoarding all of their recently received government stimulus dollars.
The people were led to believe that banks needed taxpayer stimulus dollars so that they could “continue to loan” money to American businesses and individuals.
Well, what the banks did was take the stimulus money, pay themselves huge bonuses, and practically refuse to loan money to anyone other than other bankers.
Don’t take my word for it. Go to your bank and ask for a loan and see what happens.
If you’re black or Latino, don’t even dream about getting a loan!
Yes, Americans are sick and need good affordable health care that must include a “public option” that is cheaper than the current satanic insurance rates offered to us.
But we are all dead without jobs and ways to earn money and generate revenue!
