MIAMI (AP) _ When Florida A&M last played at Miami in 2006, many fans left after the Rattlers' famed “Marching 100'' band performed at halftime.
Those fans might want to stick around when the teams meet again Oct. 10.
Not only will the FAMU band play at halftime, the acclaimed group will also have a 15-minute concert at Land Shark Stadium immediately following the game. The unusual arrangement was announced Monday by Miami officials.
The “Marching 100'' from the historically black university has played over the years at the Olympics, presidential inaugurations _ including Barack Obama's in January _ and even Bastille Day celebrations in France.
