Back to School Summer Splash!: The Back to School Summer Splash event will take place at the Opa-Locka Executive Airport’s Parcel A, 14201 N.W. 42nd Ave. in Opa-Locka. Parents: Make sure you and your children take advantage of the free health and spinal screenings as well as free information on affordable housing and K – 12 private school scholarships. Peace in the Hood Festival:
When was the last time you partied for a higher purpose? Well, Uncle Al’s Peace in the Hood Festival returns to Miami for another year. It’s the perfect opportunity to prove that a community can get together and enjoy music, games and food and not have it all end in violence. In today’s violence-prone world, there are fewer nobler callings. The festival will take place on Northwest 62nd Street between Seventh and Tenth avenues.
