Economic Recovery Forum:
This free forum is part of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s effort to educate African Americans about the economic opportunities available to them under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA.) Black Freedom 1700 – 1865:
Black Freedom, one of the newest exhibits at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, 101 West Flagler Street in Miami, gives us insight into the world of Florida’s free people of color. The exhibit showcases the different ways in which black people obtained their freedom in Florida, how hard they had to fight to remain free, and a picture of the daily lives of these free people of color. 11th Annual IFE-ILE Afro-Cuban Dance & Music Festival:
IFE-ILE’s three day festival will feature over 15 dance and drumming workshops as well as dance parties. The event culminates with a spectacular Dance Gala.
