Black Freedom 1700 – 1865: Black Freedom, one of the newest exhibits at the Historical Museum of Southern Florida, 101 West Flagler Street in Miami, gives us insight into the world of Florida’s free people of color. The exhibit showcases the different ways in which black people obtained their freedom in Florida, how hard they had to fight to remain free, and a picture of the daily lives of these free people of color.
