Contestants ages 5-21 competed in four age categories: Little Miss, Junior Miss, Miss Teen and Miss Jamaica Florida. The contest was founded by the late Anthony Bernard Baker in 1990. Since he died in 1997, his widow and business partner, Marcia Rigg-Baker, and the board of directors for the Partners for Youth Foundation (PYF), a charitable, non-profit organization, carry on the Miss Jamaica Florida competition. Crowned on Sunday were, from left, Miss Teen, Shaya Hudson; Little Miss, Shanice Ramsay; Junior Miss, Tiana Wright; and Miss Jamaica Florida, Diedre Malcolm.
