american-flag_web.jpgWEST PALM BEACH – From Military tanks to re-enactors donned in period uniforms to personal account of war experiences, Suncoast Community High School offers students and their families a live, interactive history lesson.

“An Evening with War Veterans” will be at Suncoast Community High School on Nov. 20, from 5:45-7:45 p.m.  The event will allow the public to see up-close historic military equipment provided by Road to Victory Military Museum. Later in the evening, participants will  enjoy a panel of bomber crewmen from the 8th Air Force, who will talk about their experiences in the skies over wartime Germany.  A second panel, a group of American servicemen who were captured and held as Prisoners of War, will follow.  The audience will be able to ask questions during both sessions.

The event’s purpose is to raise money for Honor Flight of Southeast Florida, and the cost to attend is $10 per person.  All proceeds will be donated to Honor Flight, which raises money to send World War II and Korean War veterans to the nation’s capital to see their monument.  In the past two years, Suncoast Community High School has raised more than $14,000 and sent 28 deserving local veterans on the trip of a lifetime.

BurgerFi will have for purchase items such as all-natural Kobe beef hamburgers and hotdogs, gourmet toppings and delectable desserts.
