WEST PALM BEACH — The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is kicking off its star-packed, show-filled 2013-2014 season with the annual Public Ticket Sale Day on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Box-office windows open at 9 a.m., and radio personality Joyce Kaufman from WFTL 850 AM will welcome ticket-buyers between 8 and 10 a.m., with breakfast treats and special prize drawings being offered at the center, 701 Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach.
Tickets for the Kravis Center’s upcoming season also will be available for purchase online at kravis.org, and by phone at 561-832-7469 or 800-572-8471.
“Our upcoming season will be particularly exciting,” said Judith Mitchell, chief executive officer of the Kravis Center. “With such a well-rounded roster of performances, the Kravis Center once again provides something for everyone and this season reflects our commitment to offer programming that is as diverse as the community we serve.”
“This blockbuster lineup will offer an amazing array of Broadway fare, along with plenty of delights for those who love comedy, dance, classical music and jazz,” said Lee Bell, senior director of programming.
The Kravis On Broadway lineup includes a half-dozen shows straight from the Great White Way, with subscriptions for all six musicals available starting at $174:

The Lineup of Superstars scheduled to perform at the Kravis Center include the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis (Dec. 19); the Colors of Christmas with Peabo Bryson, Melissa Manchester, Ruben Studdard and Cece Winans (Dec. 22), Audra McDonald (Jan. 5), Chris Botti (Jan. 15), Johnny Mathis (Jan. 27), Jay Leno (Feb. 8), the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (Feb. 24), Michael Bolton (March 12), Joan Rivers (March 13), Smokey Robinson (March 15) and Pink Martini (March 25).
Provocative Entertainment at Kravis — P.E.A.K. — is back for a second season of cutting-edge presentations featuring some of the most unique, daring and thought-provoking artists from around the world. This series, focused on diversity and contemporary themes, to elevate the creation and understanding of artistic expression — with an emphasis on performers drawn from diverse cultural backgrounds and communities, features:

Guests attending P.E.A.K. performances in the Gosman Amphitheatre and Rinker Playhouse will receive a drink ticket good for one complimentary beverage (underage patrons will be offered a complimentary non-alcoholic refreshment).
Also back is the annual African-American Film Festival, with the 2014 theme Harlem Rides the Range: Blacks on the Frontier, produced by James Drayton and hosted by AnEta Sewell. Tickets are $10 each or $25 for all three films: Harlem Rides the Range (1939), Feb. 27; Buck and the Preacher (1972), Mar. 6; Posse (1993), Mar. 13.

The Adults at Leisure Series is a perfect way to enjoy an array of top-drawer entertainment from around the globe — such as A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald with the Smithsonian Jazz Maserworks Orchestra, April 3 — with convenient 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. matinee performance times and affordable prices. The series is offered at $93 for all six performances — a savings of $75 over the individual ticket price. Beginning Nov. 15, remaining individual tickets will be available at $28 each.
