linda-johnson.jpgNorth Bay Village was sizzling on Labor Day weekend as the Deltas and Omegas hosted their first Hot Summer Daze event to celebrate the unofficial end of summer. Members of the Miami Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., and the Sigma Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., welcomed an eclectic group of about 250 Greeks and Non Phi Nons to Trio on the Bay for the casual-chic day party on Saturday, Aug. 31.

Patrons dined, danced, relaxed and networked the day away, and continued on into the night, against the backdrop of beautiful Biscayne Bay.

Proceeds from the soiree will benefit the Deltas’ EMBODI (Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence) program and the Omegas’ Scholarship and Social Action funds.

Brenda Bryant, president of the Miami Alumnae Chapter, and Herman Dorsett II, president of the Sigma Alpha Chapter, are looking forward to making this an annual summer rite.

Others seen on the scene were James Anderson, Roderick Beasley, Antonio Brooklen, Aisha Brooks, Marvell Burgess, Bobby Cheatham, Desiree Culpepper, Keietta Givens,  Gerald Jones, Michelle Pinckney-White, Frantz Prosper, Marc Smith, Veronica Williams, Tamisha Wood, and members of the AKAs, Alphas and Kappas.
