DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ Authorities say an 86-year-old man and his cat are dead following a house fire in Delray Beach. A smoke detector triggered a call to the house early Monday morning.
The fire was so intense that firefighters couldn't enter the home until the fire was under control. That's when they found the man's body in the master bedroom. They also found the cat.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.Officials have not released the victim's name.
