The National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) is holding a membership drive encouraging everyone to become a member during the month of August, with membership dues half-price.
The nonprofit organization of Black health care executives also is gearing up for its 28th Annual National Educational Conference for which South Florida is the host chapter, scheduled for Oct. 16 – 18 at the Hyatt Regency Downtown in Miami.
“The NAHSE Annual National Educational Conference is a must attend event which provides visibility and access to national healthcare executives,” said Christie Grays, president–elect of the South Florida Chapter.
“By simply becoming a member in the month of August, you will be entitled to significant member and conference discounts!” Grays said the conference features local educational seminars offering Category II American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) credits; local networking opportunities for enhancing your career; young careerist, mid-careerist and senior-executive forums; and the opportunity to receive pertinent up-to-date industry news on an ongoing basis.
Grays emphasized that by signing up to become a member this month, there is a whopping $300 savings when registering for the national conference ($840 for members, $1,140 for non-members and $200 for students through Aug. 31.
The cost increases to $1,000 for members, $1,360 for non-members and remains $200 for students after.).
