burnadette-norris-weeks-cc-fc.jpgFORT LAUDERDALE — Burnadette Norris-Weeks, of Burnadette Norris-Weeks, P.A., is one five Broward County residents who will be honored by the Leadership Broward Foundation during the 2013 Profiles in Leadership Gala.

The Leadership Broward Foundation this year will also present a prestigious new award when Marti and Wayne Huizenga will be presented with the Excellence in Leadership, Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sharon D’Eusanio will receive the Excellence in Leadership, Special Recognition Award. D’Eusanio, a crime victim assistance and disability consultant, has donated her time over the years as a speaker for Leadership Broward program days.
The gala, which is themed Gatsby, is co-chaired by foundation volunteers Pamela Baynes, Jeff Cato, Mary Harris and Peter Moore. Cato also serves on the foundation’s board of directors as vice president of Special Events.

“We’re very excited to celebrate the achievements of our honorees and our special award recipients for the profound impact they’ve had on Broward County,” said Foundation Chief Executive Officer Terri Wallace.  

Guests will enjoy a sumptuous dinner, live and silent auction, a special tribute to the honorees and dancing to live musical entertainment, officials said.

The attire is black-tie optional. Tickets are $550 for Leadership Broward Foundation couples; $300 per person for Leadership Broward Foundation members; $325 per person for guests and non-members; and $200 for Emerge Broward members. 

The event is set for 6 – 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six, 2301 S.E. 17th St., Fort Lauderdale. Also being honored for their contributions to Broward County are John Benz, Memorial Healthcare System; Lisa Scott-Founds, Winterfest; Michael Goodman, Bitner Goodman; and Gerry Litrento, BankUnited, N.A.
