Fort Lauderdale – New Golden Heights Church of Christ, where the Rev. Dr. W.F. Washington is pastor, is hosting a major Health Fair on Saturday, July 30, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the church, 2051 N.W. 31st Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.
Among the free services and testing that will be provided are blood glucose testing, HIV testing, mammograms, vision testing, blood pressure testing, mental health, dental health, pregnancy resources, insurance, cholesterol testing and healthy eating tips.
In addition free haircuts for the kids will be provided, as well as free food and a free clothes giveaway.
Participating health care vendors include the North Broward Hospital District, Holy Cross Hospital, the Broward County Health Department, Humana Health Care, Community Blood Centers of South Florida, Henderson Clinic and the Department of Children and Families.
The Broward Sheriff's Office is also participating with a bounce house, safety tips and equipment on display.
